PORTRAITS
Q. What type of portrait photography do you do?
We photograph pregnancy and newborn, baby and toddler, kids, teenagers, families, couples and pets. We also do modelling and acting/performing portfolios.
Q. How much does a portrait session cost?
The final cost depends on you. Once you decide how many prints you want, what sizes you want and what display options you’re after, our team will work with you to find the package that best suits your portrait plans.
Q. What should we wear and bring to our portrait session?
We recommend choosing classic clothing that will remain timeless in your photographs. Plain clothing without logos works well. Try to avoid heavily patterned clothing and stripes as this can date. Wear colours that compliment each other. Neutral colours and denim work well. With small children/ babies bring an extra set of clothes.
Q. Can you come to our home for portraits?
Of course, we aim to capture you and your loved ones in a comfortable environment. During our initial consultation we’ll work with you to determine the best place to achieve your desired results.
Q. What is the best location for my portrait shoot?
There are many locations to consider. The location you choose can reflect your personality and style.
A home study is a portrait session created in the comfort and privacy of your own home. This can be a great way to showcase your home. We can also include aspects of your home environment that may have special meaning to you.
A studio portrait session is great for a variety of reasons as it offers warmth and privacy. Using studio lighting, we can create an array of moods to suit your style, so this option is one of our most favoured with clients.
A favourite beach or park provide beautiful natural backdrops and can often hold special meaning for you or alternatively, we can suggest some great local locations we often use for our Fine Art shoots.
Q. How many people can be in our portrait shoot?
There is no limit to the number of people in your shoot, however one family per session is ideal as we can maximize shooting time. Family pets are also welcome to be included and make a great addition to your family portrait.
Q. How soon after the session does it take to get my photos?
An initial viewing will be set up for you to see your photos, usually around one week after the shoot. It then takes approximately 4-5 weeks from the end of your viewing for your finished portraits to be ready for collection.
Q. Do you offer makeup prior to the portrait session?
We have our own in-house makeup artist. Should you wish to avail of her services, enquire when booking and we’ll secure her services for the shoot.
Q. Can I get a portrait session gift voucher?
Of course! There’s no greater gift than one that lasts a lifetime. You can purchase a voucher by contacting the studio by phone, e-mail or just drop in to us anytime.

Every couple has different requirements. Our aim is to work with you to tailor an exact package that suits your precise needs, we start from €750 and go on from there depending on your selection.
We tailor options to include all day coverage from the brides preparation right through to the very end of the reception. From there, we can add many more options including albums, enlargements, canvas prints, coffee-table books, thank you cards……..the choice is yours.
To get a feel for some wedding packages we have to offer our couples, please see our wedding page. Alternatively, contact us anytime at the studio by phone or e-mail to discuss your individual requirements for your big day.
Q. How do we book you?
We like to arrange a mutually convenient time to meet to discuss your requirements. This will enable us to understand your vision for the day and provide you with a bespoke quotation for your wedding. We require a booking deposit of €250 to secure your date.
We receive more enquiries per year than there are days available and this means we are unable to provisionally hold any date without payment of the booking fee. All dates are booked on a first come first served basis

We travel all over Ireland from our Dublin studio. We also cover overseas destinations.

There is no limit to the number of photographs we take – we will take as many pictures as there are opportunities.
Generally couples can expect to receive between 400 to 500 finished proofs (wallet sized photographs) to choose from. Your proofs are ready for collection 1 to 2 weeks after the big day. Our close proximity to Dublin Airport, often allows couples to drop by the studio to collect them, when returning from their honeymoon.
Q. Do you take formal or group shots as well as photojournalistic/reportage?
Yes, of course, although we like to make this a fun and relaxed part of the day – which means no stiff necks or forced smiles. We like to do shots such as the family groups calmly and quickly so that you are free to enjoy your wedding.
Q. Do you shoot on Digital or Film?
We shoot using professional digital cameras which produce quality that is at least on a par with film. Not only is the image quality superb but it gives us great flexibility and allows us to shoot in mixed lighting conditions. Virtually 100% of the world’s press & sports photographers work with digital cameras; their photographs are published in magazines and books across the globe. Furthermore, we shoot at the highest possible resolution allowing enlargements as large as billboard size.
On request, we can also shoot film, at an additional cost.
